Important Reminders

    NUMBER 1 cause of program damage on Sony Ericsson mobile phones is

Note: Be aware that flashing firmware/GDFS to your handset from different phone unit will cause severe damage to your phone! It is not the proper way of upgrading, so better not to make any mistakes.

Possible damages can occur when you made error
  1. Firmware Damage
  2. GDFS corrupted/Unreadable/blocked either of this
  3. IMEI blocked/Unidentified either of this
List of errors

  1. Modifying your phone (ex. changing display, drivers, themes, sounds, fonts, menu etc.)
  •     Copy/Paste not completed
  •     Copy/Paste interrupted
  •     Interrupted while loading/processing
  •     Upload a wrong file
  •     Accidentally deleted important system file/s
  •      You delete a file and forgot to replace it
    2.  Flashing/Patching/Unlocking
  • Flashing interrupted
  • Flashed to a wrong/corrupted firmware
Signs of a damaged program
  1.  Power is Dead
  2.  Permanent shutdown/restart
  • Shutdown/restart every after 2secs
  • Shutdown/restart every after 10-20secs
  • Shutdown/restart every after 1-2mins
     3.  No signal / no network coverage
     4.  No Sounds
     5.  No Display

Some important things you need to know when using Far_w/JDFLASHER


1.     You can choose/mark multiple files buy holding up “right click” of you mouse
2.     Use drag and drop principle
3.     Files are overwritten if you upload the same name and file format
4.     You cannot download/copy files from your phone
5.     Avoid deleting of folders
            6.   There is two windows, one side is your phone’s directory, the other is your computers directory



How to backup files

Note: You have to install first Sony Ericsson PC suite before you connect your phone to the computer.

                        Download this My Phone explorer setup. Connect your phone using a USB cable and choose        
                        phone mode. Open the phone explorer set up. Press f1 and it will automatically read your files
