This update service is more likely to be a reprogram. It replaces your old/damage firmware into new one. It is an all-in-one tool that does the flashing firmware, flashing GDFS customizing patching sim unlocking, etc. Programing your Sony Ericsson is very easy. Just follow these simple steps.
1. You will need

b. USB flash driver direct link
c. Stable Internet Connection (important!!!)
d. USB cable
2. Install USB flash driver
3. For WotanClient and FastGSM_DBx you’ll need to create an account. (it’s free and simple)
4. Before doing this, make sure your phone battery have at least 50% remaining.
a. Run the program.
b. Turn off your phone. Remove battery and reinsert. Do NOT turn on the phone.
c. Connect USB cable to your computer.
d. Press and hold “c” button then while pressing, connect the USB cable to your phone.
e. If detected, release “c”.
However, if not detected, try pressing “2” and “5” instead of “c” button or “2”,”5”,”c” all together.
5. Choose your language and CDA, click next
6. Enter your log in and password. Then update, click next
7. Wait until the updating is finished. It will take more than half an hour depending on your network connection and phone unit.
8. Done!!
9. Using Update service setup
This is much simpler tool (but I usually recommend the first one) for updating/reprogramming and all you need is an internet connection and a USB cable. No need to register an account and choose CDA or region, just follow simple clicking steps there.
