Flashing using Far_w/JDFlasher in SE K770i


For this tutorial, I will use my phone unit Sony Ericsson k770. I recommend using far_w/jdflasher. For me, it is easy to use than XS++ and SEtool. Please read my Terms of Agreement before continuing.

Let’s begin!!
Turn off your phone, removed and reinsert the battery, DON”T turn on your phone, removed also your memory card.

1.     What you will need
a.     Far_w/JDFlasher Jdflasher CID53 update - Top Sony Forums
b.     USB flash driver (direct link)    
c.     USB cable
2.     Extract Far_w/JDFlasher
Use this tool if you don’t have an extractor: wrar371 (direct link)
3.     Run Far
4.     Press Alt+f1
5.     Click   “just the flasher”
6.     Select db2020 for k770, for other phone unit/handset search google for supports
Port: DCU-60
Speed: 921600
7.     Note: you have 30sec to do step #8 after pressing this
Click   “jump down into a large rabbit-hole”
8.     While pressing “c”, connect USB cable to your phone, when detected, release “c”
9.     Select    ofs
10.  Changing Flash Menu’s, follow this path
                             
                        Tpa/preset/system/desktop/flash    (paste it here .swf files)      download .swf files here




            


              11. Shutdown/Startup logo and sounds, follow this path: tpa/preset/system/settings
Acoustics files follow this path: ifs/settings/acoustic
Display: ifs/setting/display
Camera: ifs/settings/camera
Menu: tps/preset/system/menu
System Sounds: tpa/preset/system/sounds
Layout: tpa/system/layout
Language: tpa/system/language
Booting files:
STARTUP_IMAGE_SEMC: Startup Image, Animated GIF image without extension.
SPLASH: it must be a .GIF or .PNG file without extension.
STARTUP_SOUND_SEMC.mp3: Startup Sound, MP3 Format.
SHUTDOWN_SOUND_SEMC.mp3: Shutdown Sound, MP3 Format.
SHUTDOWN_IMAGE_SEMC: Shutdown Image, Animated GIF image without extension.
Locked files:
Locked Java Apps/Games: /TPA/PRESET/SYSTEM/AMS
   Java Apps/Games: /TPA/PRESET/DEFAULT/JAVA
   Pictures: tpa/preset/default/image
   Themes: tpa/user/theme
   Music: /USB/AUDIO
   Themes: usb/theme
   Music:/tpa/user/audio
   Themes: tpa/preset/default/theme
   Pictures: usb/image
   Pictures:
tpa/user/image
   Music: /tps/preset/default/audio

12.  When you’re done, you must quit properly and must see this for the changes to take effect
